Introducing our Outbound Rotary Youth Exchange student – Ayumi A good number of members and guests met at the Lakehouse on Monday night to meet our outbound RYE student - Ayumi and her parents Fiona & James. We enjoyed a lovely meal and lots of conversation before Ayumi was introduced and gave us an insight into her life, schooling and passions and why she wants to go in exchange. Ayumi presented very well and has achieved a lot in her schooling through attending the Alpine Leadership Program last year, being one of six children and having a very creative side through design and fashion. We think Denmark (waiting on club allocation) will be lucky to receive Ayumi for her exchange year! We are off to Horsham this weekend for the first outbound briefing so it’s all starting to get real! Thanks to all for great questions and excellent hospitality - Ayumi’s family were very impressed by the care and consideration towards them on the night. Kelly Binyon RYE Mentor
