Monday 16th February, 2017
We had a busy meeting with various guests attending this week.
Assistant Governor Judy Beasley complimented us on “Making a Difference” and reminded us of some of the great projects and events at other clubs in our Rotary group.
We presented a cheque for $1000 to Matthew Richardson from Lifeline Breakwater, for contributing thousands of books to our book fair. Matthew gave us an interesting insight into the great work that Lifeline does. They will continue to support our book fair in the future.
Our main speaker for the night was Carla Egan, a personal development coach who gave us a great insight into the three universal fears – Am I good enough? Do I belong? Am I loved? How we handle our responses to life’s challenges is often based on these questions.
Jess Nowson brought along Dr Laura Walsh, who is a local osteopath, and who has invited me to represent Rotary at a meeting of Torquay BNI Coastal Connections.
